After college, he had some success on the professional satellite circuit in Europe before coming home to teach and raise a family.
He and his wife, Linda, have six tennis-playing children. One of them is Cole Davis, who teaches at Woodsmill and Frontenac, and who, with Ethan McAfferty, won the 2022 Frontenac Doubles Classic.
