Horacio played his first three years (2016-2019) at Lindenwood University for the NAIA Lindenwood-Belleville team, where he posted an 18-1 overall win-loss ratio in his first year; in 2018, he was named NAIA First-Team All-Conference Doubles (along with partner Gustavo Furukawa), finishing #25 in the Oracle/ITA NAIA Men’s National Doubles Rankings. Following the COVID break and disbanding of the Lindenwood-Belleville campus, Horacio played his final year for the NCAA Division II Lindenwood-St. Charles team.In addition to his success on court, Horacio excelled in the classroom and was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (“ITA”) Academic All-American Scholar Athlete every semester. He graduated in 2021 with a BA in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management, and a BFA in acting.
During his time at Lindenwood, Horacio began teaching tennis. He initially taught seven- and eight-year-old students at summer overnight camps in Monticello, NY and Beckett, MA before arriving at FRC in 2020. Horacio currently teaches adult and junior students at FRC in private and semi-private lessons during the indoor season, while he serves as the Director of Tennis at the Highlands Golf & Tennis in Forest Park during the late spring and summer.
